CHRISTIAN RAPPER BIZZLE COMES UNDER THREAT AFTER RELEASING ANTIGAY RESPONSE TRACK TO MACKLEMORE’S “SAME LOVE”
Houston-based rapper Bizzle, launched a new website to show the numerous social media threats he has received after the release of his song response to Macklemore’s “Same Love” track that was used in the broadcasted live marriage of homosexual and heterosexual couples during the 56th annual Grammy Awards.
The violent threats and hateful language are very graphic and although most are too explicit to share, here is one amongst the many, “OMG! Please go and kill yourself, seriously. Your God is ashamed of YOU!” another tweeted, “SOMEONE NEEDS TO BIBLE BASH @MyNameIsBizzle OVER THE HEAD.”
Over the last couple of years, I have noticed how anyone who disagrees with homosexuality is considered full of HATE and INTOLERANT…….simply for calling it sin. From ESPN announcer Chris Broussard to Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy, it has been become apparent that there are no words nice enough to use when expressing disagreement,” Bizzle wrote in an e-mail he sent to his God Over Money record label supporters titled, “What Happens When the Tolerant Become Intolerant?”
He continued, “Since releasing the ‘Same Love’ response to Macklemore’s record I have had a few dope conversations with people who consider themselves gay or lesbian; some disagreed respectfully, a few agreed and even thanked me. But MOST of the responses I have gotten have shown hate beyond any degree one can claim to have heard in my song.”
He summed up his email and said people are responding this way because of the way the media has manipulated their power to magnify bizarre behavior from very few misguided Christians that hate homosexuals. “This is about media manipulation and lack of accountability,” he said.
The website letthetolerancebegin.com contains explicit and vulgar language and is being used by the rapper to showcase the intolerant behavior from those that disagree with the Bible definition of homosexuality and ones right to respectfully disagree.
In Bizzle’s response track, his lyrics make it clear that he believes Macklemore is trying to push a “gay agenda” on the masses. The rapper also confronted the duo for associating the LGBT struggle to the Black struggle.
“You rather fight God than fight sin / The Bible is alright until it calls what you like sin / And I feel so disrespected that you were so desperate / You would compare your sexual habits to my skin / Calling it ‘the new black?’ Tell me, where they do that? / They hung us like tree ornaments, where were you at? / They burned us for entertainment, you go through that?” is a verse in Bizzle’s retaliation track.
