Gospel Star Earnest Pugh Announces "The Men of Worship" Tour
Earnest Pugh is headlining "The Men of Worship Tour" that kicks off with his appearance at Bishop T.D. Jakes' MegaFest on Friday, August 30th at 8:30 a.m. Pugh precedes keynoter speaker E. Dewy Smith's sermon at the day's Man Power conference sessions with a dynamic concert with his four piece band and backing vocals by Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis. From there, the five-octave tenor will weave fifteen Listening Party concert dates to promote his new CD "The W.I.N. (Worship in Nassau) Experience " amid his regularly scheduled touring dates.
Joining Pugh on "The Men of Worship Tour" will be EPM Music Group recording artists Keith Williams (known as the Sultry Tenor), and the vibrant choir Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis. Williams releases his sophomore urban contemporary CD "Tone For Worship" on September 10th and Tharpe is pushing his current CD "Live in Memphis."
Meanwhile, Pugh is headed for the Top 10 with his new radio smash "More of You" that is #15 on this week's Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. It hails from "The W.I.N. (Worship in Nassau) Experience" CD that was produced by the Grammy® Award winner Cedric Thompson before a lively crowd of fans in The Bahamas this past spring. It also features cameos by gospel music's First Lady Shirley Caesar, Bishop Rance Allen, LeJuene Thompson, and Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis. The twelve-song set is now available for iTunes digital pre-orders only and will hit retail chains on September 17th.
"I have a great feeling about the W.I.N. CD," Pugh says. "It's the biggest release of my 15-year career as an artist. The production and songs are amazing. Central South has done an amazing job setting up the record, and the people are loving the material as I minister it each weekend around the country so there is no place to go but up from here."
